Tips to prolong the life of your finishes

Do you know this problem? First, to prolong the life of your finishes and before Roofing on any surface of concrete, wood or metal you must consider that the surface should be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, rust and foreign materials.

Watch out for moisture! The main causes of peeling paint are by external agents such as solar radiation, the action of cold, heat, wind and water which in turn help the formation of moisture.

Blistering is the formation of large bubbles in the paint due to exposure to high temperatures and humidity on the surface, this is one of the most common problems. Our full recommendation is to clean the surface, remove all paint and apply the anti-humidity treatment; do it applying two layers, the drying (24 hours) will form a transparent protective film, then you can paint.

Then there are the craters-foam, these are due to the formation of small bubbles (foam) and small concave holes (craters) which appear to break bubbles on the surface during application or drying paint process, they are also the result of applying Roofing too fast, especially with roller or the use of low quality paint or very old paint. We recommend avoiding Roofing with too much paint going over the brush or roller, we advise you to choose high-quality paint.

Crumpling problems? This is the formation of wrinkles on the Roofing, is due to poor application of paint; when the paint coating is made quickly and without respecting the required measurements, or Roofing on too low or humid temperatures, or by applying a second coat without waiting for the first one to dry. We encourage you and our fellow colleagues to respect drying times, avoid Roofing in rainy seasons and make sure that the temperature is not so low.
